Tyler Ingram was born in New York City and received his training on full scholarship from the School of American Ballet, as well as The San Francisco Ballet School. Tyler began his professional career with New York City Ballet, and then went on to become a founding member of Miami City Ballet under the directorship of Edward Villella, dancing as a soloist. His career extended to include tenures with Feld Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, and finally NYC Opera and the Metropolitan Opera, the latter of which Tyler retired from several years ago. While performing as a soloist with both NYC Opera and the Metropolitan Opera, Tyler began to teach barre classes for Exhale in New York City, eventually becoming a Master Teacher Trainer for the company and training teachers in Barre as well as other fitness modalities he designed for the company’s seventeen locations nationwide. He also lead the 40 hour training program for studio owners nationally as well as internationally.
